If you’re wondering what my book, How to Succeed as a Supervillain by Following the Evil Overlord List, is about and are unfamiliar with the Evil Overlord List, well here’s a brief explanation. The list involves something which started out on the internet looking at tropes involving Bond villains, but it evolved into an all-encompassing list of the daft things villains of all kinds end up doing. The images below show examples of both a Dark Lord, Sauron from Lord of the Rings, and Ernst Stavro Blofeld the most infamous of all of the Bond villains.  

The Evil Overlord List is exemplified by the trope referencing Imperial Stormtrooper marksmanship, “My Legions of Terror will be trained in basic marksmanship. Any troops who cannot learn to hit a man-sized target at ten meters will be used for target practice.”
